Site Background:

Wake Island is one of the most isolated islands in the world, a remote Pacific tropical coral atoll, located about 2,300 miles west of Honolulu, Hawaii, and 1,500 miles east of Guam. It is comprised of three islets - Wake, Wilkes, and Peale around a shallow lagoon. Wake Atoll is designated as a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is within the Pacific Remote Island Marine National Monument.

Acacia7 (INYA and KMEA joint venture) has been working at Wake Island since 2022 primarily doing architecture and engineering design work.

Architecture and Engineering Design Services (Electrical Distribution System):

Architecture and engineering services in support of the repair of an electrical distribution system. INYA conducted a thorough on-site assessment of the pervious electrical distribution system in order to identify the components that required replacement or repair. As part of the design process, INYA was also responsible for a HAZMAT survey in the project area. Development of a construction plan was done to describe how the work schedule would be carried out, while ensuring ongoing power throughout Wake Island during construction.
